This is gonna sound very odd but he is quintessentially British in his art, he portrays what *is* not what could be or what should be but what is! I know he's an American but something about his art screams Brit to me! lol!

Huh! interesting! I sort of get what you mean, I think. To me, they are all scenes I enjoy like they are from my own childhood, fondly, just like I'd view my own photos of the past. In that sense, the scenes are a bit romanticized/idealized too.

They are romanticised but if you look carefully they're also very real...the woman on the balcony! :D Either way thank you for sharing!

Wendy and I have two tables, one for eating and one for puzzling and board games. It's the one I actually prefer to sit at funny enough. We always have a puzzle going. I find it a very zen relazing thing. I just get lost in it and turn my brain off.

That would be the ideal situation for me<3 I will have to wait until the kids are out of the house or I have more room though.

sometimes I think I need to wait for the CATS to be out of the house, they do love a puzzle.

LOL!Do they have a preference in puzzles? I'm amazed you can have a puzzle table with cats to begin with:DThey sound very well behaved.

I think my kids would actually enjoy a puzzle too. Wish I had the space :P
