Yesterday we found out that Alex passed the second level of a public English exam called the Eiken with flying colors.  I was a bit worried about the interview, but he only got one point deducted, possibly for reading a word wrong in the text.  We are pretty excited about this.  The test is supposed to get harder from this April, with actual ( Read more... )

Thank you<3

I love guacamole so much! :D It only need a little bit of sour cream but that's always been the reason I couldn't make it very often, so AWESOME <3 Keeping it warm for a bit more hardened it more so now it's normal texture . Wondering what I'll do with the rest ... roast potatos with sour cream and onion? chives if I can find them? ..... mmmmm<3

Congrats to Alex! :D

Yes! I've thought of that, too... that Sam finding a cure in Form and Void was answered prayer. Sam wanting a "sign" wasn't just for the cure, though... he also wanted a way to beat the Darkness.

Thank you<3

It reminded me that God does usually work through us instead of through obvious miracles.

In the prayer, Sam asks for a sign, for hope. He even tells God that he's not asking him to clean up his mess, so my understanding is that Sam didn't ask God for a way to beat the Darkness.

Not that God won't help him do that too in the end ;)

And that ties in with the "God helps those who help themselves" line in 11.04.

He even tells God that he's not asking him to clean up his mess, so my understanding is that Sam didn't ask God for a way to beat the Darkness.

The first part of that sentence is "There are people out there, good people... who are going to suffer because of me", and then he says that he's not asking God to clean up his mess, so the "mess" could also refer to the people who are suffering. He also says "this is my fault, and I don't know how to fix it". It's his "fault" that the Darkness was released, and indirectly, his "fault" that these people are infected. It's all connected. Also, Sam could mean that he doesn't expect God to magically fix (clean up) this mess and make it all disappear.. he wants God's help, so he can take the steps himself to make things right. I still believe that he was praying for a way to beat the Darkness.
