Your keeping accountable post has made me think... I might give something like that a shot myself as I keep getting snowed under by things and feeling a bit swamped - I'm pretty sure it would help!
It does help to keep me from drowning in stress. If I am depressed, my typed out routine also stops me from getting that sort of choice-paralysis where I sit for ages trying to work out what I am supposed to do next. (I have a typed routine, at the end of which is the list of questions I cut-and-paste into my LJ/DW entries
