Wish I hadn't finished American Gods. I even read the aknowledgements at the end because I didn't want it to be over. The ending, however, was to my liking. I just didn't want it to be over... I felt like I had a relationship with the book. Sigh. My only successful relationship in recent history and it ends too soon. Such is life, I s'pose.

I'm pleased that you liked the book. I empathize with that last, though. Finishing things can be so depressing.

I feel that way often m'self about finishing things. Sometimes I'll stop before the end without even realizing it (move on to other things) and then realize that it's far less upsetting than finishing it and feeling all glum that it's over...
