AppTec finally hired someone for the job, who wasn't me. That's ok, the hour-long traffic-filled commute would've gotten old really fast. I'm not really seeing an end to my unemployment if I want to stay with science. There is not much going on out there. I am still applying to every lab tech/assistant position that I can find. This will probably not help, but my friend enchantress422 has a bio BS and was job-searching for more than six months before she found something, and it's still only lab tech work. (You've been checking at UPenn, right? She's had two jobs there.) It's a crap market for everyone right now.

I have applied to a position or two there. Nothin'. Oi maybe I should switch careers! Even the gross jobs (with dead bodies) are all being snatched up.
