Sam got his song waaay back in the (original!) New Mutants first annual, in 1984.
Lucinda's song came almost 20 real life years later, though only about 6 years had passed in the comics. From X-Treme X-Men #24:
I love the idea of Lila and Lucinda keeping in touch all that time, even though Lila and Sam had stopped dating for years before picking things up again. Lucinda secretly telling Lila she thought her eldest needed to take on a little less responsibility is a nice touch.
