Recently I've been in the mood to read book that are truely Britsh (You know, they use the word "Sweets" instead of "Candy" or "the loo" instead of "the washroom"...Britishisms, if you will.)

Is there anyone out there who can reccommend me some British authors? (or hell, they can be from anywhere really as long as they can pull of the British thing

Read Diana Wynne Jones! She's been my favourite author since I was seven, was born and raised in Bristol, England, and is one of the best authors currently living. She writes mostly children's novels, but they're the sort of stories that are just good, no matter how old you are. I highly recommend her!

Iain Banks, Iain Banks, Iain Banks. But not him as Iain M Banks. His books are complete mindbenders.

Apocalipstick by Sue Margolis

Don't know if the author is Enlish but she pulls britishisms off. It's a wickedly funny book.
