dance with dragons revisited

Finished Dance With Dragons. It was pretty much incredible. I mean, I guess some chapters I would have liked to skip over, but just the overall wholeness of the thing and what Martin did to the people and the land and the chaos and dust he's throwing up. He really left the story in a gaping chasm shit fest that will very likely have Winds of Winter ( Read more... )

I finally finished the book. It was awesome. Part of me does wish that more people got to Merreen like whatever happened to that dude Marwyn from Oldtown? And I was also hoping that the book would end with Victarion getting there but alas.

I'm also still very interested in what happened to Jamie when Brienne showed up. Is she a red zombie now too?

And also, who the heck is Robert Strong? Did Gregor Clegane actually not die? It seems most of those close to the Lannisters know who he is.

Anyway, I think it was well worth the wait. I never dreaded reading any of the chapters like some of the chapters in Feast and was always interested in everything going on.

Also, so glad Davos ended up being alive and now will have a major part to play in the next book with finding Rickon. Where could Rickon be that made Davos so scared? Hmm...

I figured maybe Brienne said something that made zombie Cat reconsider killing her. I doubt Jamie's just going to die. But you never know. Maybe he is.

I'm pretty sure Robert Strong is Gregor Clegane. Frankengregor if you will. Or Gregorstein. I've heard it both ways. That maester guy working for Cersei could be trouble, like boat loads of it.

Rickon's probably on that island where people get eaton or something. Or he's on that island that Jon was going to save before they stabbed the holy hell out of him. I don't know why they'd go there. I thought they were heading for White Harbor. ::shrugs::
