two things:

1) only converse brand, or other ones that look like them? i have an awfully cutie-cutie pair of pink ones that make me happy on a daily basis. :)

2) yay to the decision about egg harvesting. i'm in my bed recovering from the most pain i've ever felt IN MY LIFE (honestly), and i only had an IUD placed. i've heard that egg harvesting is ever so much worse. keep that cervix closed till it opens on its own, i say. there is no fun to be had in forcing that particular gate!

one of my boyfriend's students (he teaches freshman comp) did a paper about egg harvesting. it's really scary and bad for your body. i had vaguely thought about doing it, but her paper did a very good job convincing me that it's a BAD idea. you are constantly hopped up on hormone levels your body is not supposed to have and you stand a good risk of not being able to have a baby of your own if you ever want to.
