My dad had spinal surgery this morning. My parents were up at 4 AM, at the hospital at 6 AM, and my mother called me at 9 AM to let me know she'd just talked to the surgeon and the operation went well. Go, efficient surgeon man, go. I went to an allergy specialist who put me on daily nasal washes and an inhaled nasal steroid. It has done WONDERS for my allergies, without any side effects. At the very least, I recommend the nasal washes to clear the allergens out of of your nasal passages. You can do them 1-2 times per day- I only do it once, at night, unless I don't feel well and then I do it in the morning and at night.

I'm glad to hear your Dad is doing so well. Is he on the LOST island? Maybe he'll be walking in a few days. ;)

My mom had spinal surgery 18 years ago and she was pretty much totally incapacitated for almost 6 months. Medical procedures have come a long way and are so much less invasive!
