Last night I stayed up til midnight talking to F (need to stop *doing* that!), so I was ridiculously tired this morning. Dragged my sorry self out of bed at 6:35, so I was already running late for my train, and then I had a terrific poem idea in the shower. Besides sex, I'm not sure there's any better reason than poetry for being late to work.

Although both of these reasons aren't exactly boss-friendly explanations.

Luckily, I have a pretty flexible schedule and can make up hours elsewhere. Also luckily, I have an awesome boss who would probably be understanding about either reason for lateness. Although I'd probably only tell her about the poem. :)
