I was linked to this by the girl_gamers community as I am very interested in making a companion cube cake for my boyfriend but am really, really not very good with baking. Also, I don't know if I read the link wrong but I think they mentioned that this was a vegan cake which is even better since I LOVE vegan cooking despite not being vegan myself.
Anyway, if it's not too much trouble, could you give me a run down of what times of pans you used and, briefly, the steps that went into making this?
oooh. it's been so long. i forget the times. probably 25 minutes??? *bites lip* start with 25 and then do the toothpick test. leave it in for 5 more if the toothpick comes out messy. if the toothpick is gooey, do it for 10 more. and then test again. you should be clued in to a possible doneness once the scents start wafting out of the oven. if there are no cakey smells after 25 mins, then don't even open the oven. wait for the aroma and then start testing

Oh, and you can also freeze the cake and use it to make a trifle on a later date!
