All of the stuff about how they were on the brink of "making it" in this really mainstream way seemed wrong to me. Like, obviously it's worth noting their commercial success and what they were capable of, but I think people who are going to see this movie aren't looking for that...
Also, the parts where people talked about Mia's murderer and how his face was "disgusting" and how he looked like a "monster" coming from white women and how this murderer was one of the few people of color in the movie, created this race tension for me that was really uncomfortable. I felt like it could have been handled better.
Yes, I agree about the segments with Mia's father being the strongest of the film.
