today president obama repealed the global gag rule!! now women in countries that we give aid to can have access to a wide range of reproductive health choices including contraception, family planning, pre and post natal care, (yes) abortion, and basic reproductive health care, such as annual exams.

yay for obama for advancing women's health

Wern't you the one saying during the campaign for dem. nominee that Obama wouldn't do anything for abortion rights?

i did not say that he would do nothing. however, i did question his commitment to pro-choice ideals and the passing of legislation to back up his supposed support.

this is a START. this kind of thing must continue.
