Ironic

Last night I got a very much unwanted email about my high school reunion this summer. I found this distressing because I certainly didn't give any of these people my information, so someone out there with my email address sold me out ( Read more... )

I told my sister that when I get an invitation to my high school reunion I would write "no way in hell" on the R.S.V.P. card. A Gilmore Girls quote comes to mind here, what is it? I would rather slide down a banister embedded with razor blades and land in a pool of lemon juice

I just can't believe people were so offended that I don't want to go. Though one of these girls is the same one who was so mortally wounded that I didn't want to go to prom our junior year she was nearly in tears. People just couldn't seem to get that I had more than one date if I wanted it, I just wasn't interested in prom.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm sorry, but I find it hilarious that people are upset about your status. Thank goodness I didn't have Facebook when it was time for my high school reunion. Yes, I am bitter. Sort of. I just don't want to go back. It sucked, I was miserable, why would I want to go make nice with people I have not spoken to in 10 years? It's not like they are family and I am obligated to go. Don't get me wrong, I don't spend all my time thinking about how awful high school was or anything like that. But for me, it was. It was an awful time for my mental health in general. Why would I want to go celebrate that? The sane answer is, I wouldn't. I don't really care what's happened to people, or I would have found out before...

But you have a Bring It On icon. That makes all right with the world.

Like I said there, I went to the five-year one. It was okay and it was nice to reconnect with a couple of people. But I haven't been to one since.

I suppose I might go to the forty- or fifty-year one if I still look fifteen years younger than I really am, just for the schadenfreude...

You are awesome! : ) I did appreciate the support, too. I found it funny how many people I haven't spoken to in 10 years were suddenly so desperate to see me.

I went to mine...and got a drink as quickly as possible and ran out when they started a slideshow.

I'm really sorry about the AC, dear.

Thanks, man. It's hot.
They are actually having ours at a local bar. It just sounds so tacky. And like I told Shannon, I find it funny how many people I haven't spoken to in 10 years were suddenly so desperate to see me. I'm on facebook, invite me to lunch if you care so much.

I don't blame you a bit, I was never the least interested in the reunion, either. *hugs*

Hopefully the AC gets fixed for a reasonable price!
