Ah, the library. One of the few places so unfavoured by the students that Kakashi could sit in peace for hours at a time, at least until deadlines began to rear their heads and panicked children remembered the existence of books. His office hours over, he was once again headed for his desk near the back when an unfamiliar figure caught his eye.

Too old to be a student - although he'd learned not to set that particular opinion in stone - and giving him that nagging pull in the back of his mind that meant there was some kind of power. Kakashi did some quick mental calculations based on what little he'd heard during the end of the staff meeting, and approached the man loudly enough not to startle him.

"Fye Flourite? You're a little early."

"Volunteered?" Kakashi eyed the other man for a moment before shrugging slightly and looking away to enter the door code at the entrance they'd just arrived at. "New staff generally don't get supervision jobs. You should wait for a few years, see how you feel about living with them twenty-four-seven after that."

The door swung open smoothly, at odds with its appearance, and a light snapped on at the movement, illuminating the entrance hall of the residences.

He raised an eyebrow at the code and noted that he had to memorize those things too. "Well, I was just trying it out. I'm new, so I don't know much of this place, it's only natural, don't you agree~?"

Peering inside he swung his bag behind his back and then took a few steps in. "This looks kind of homey. So this is where the offices are?"

Having lived in the building for the majority of his life, Kakashi quickly located the lists at the currently empty desk, retrieving a keycard from its pigeonhole beneath the workstation and tossing it over to Fye after a moment's perusal of the neat handwriting.

"You're in 320, third floor. The offices are in the main building," he hooked his thumb over his shoulder, towards the large, much busier structure visible out of the doorway. "But you'll want to get settled in first."

Not seemingly noticing that the key was thrown his direction as he was looking the other way, he still caught it between two fingers then blinked down at it as if he just saw it. "Oh, thank you~" he said in a light tone and nodded at the way Kakashi showed the other building. "And I guess you're right. I need put my stuff away."

After a second's hesitation, he asked "Where's the nurse's office? I need to make sure I can store something there that I don't want to keep in my room out of precautions~" He wasn't going to elaborate further on that if the other man asked him.
