30 Days of Awesome: Day 3!
Day 01 → Your favorite song
Day 02 → Your favorite movie
Day 03 → Your favorite television program
This might just be the hardest one yet! I definitely have a top 3, so I'll just post those.
Pushing Daisies is perfect. I love things that give me mysteries to solve! Diagnosis Murder was my favorite show as a kid, and Nancy Drew was my favorite series of books. That alone gave me reason to love this show. Turns out, everything else about it is just as fabulous if not more so. The love story, the characters (all of them. No irrational Chuck hating from me!), the stories... it's just amazing. It's so unfortunate that the writer's strike had to kill it. :(
Boy Meets World is equally perfect. With some sitcoms from the 90's (Full House, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, etc.), I occasionally tire of them and can't watch for a while. With Boy Meets World, I've seen every episode probably 20 times and have never gotten tired of it. It's just wonderful and BY GOLLY I NEED SEASONS 4-7 TO BE OFFICIALLY RELEASED ON DVD.
Psych is fantastic. Another show with mysteries to solve, great cast of characters and enough pop culture references to keep me entertained (a la Gilmore Girls). This is a show where I can watch any episode at any time and laugh hysterically no matter how many times I've already seen it. I can just think of a gag and lol at the most random times. It's just so entertaining and so much fun. But it also gives us great serious moments. The show itself right now is going a little darker than it started off being, but I think it's a great natural progression. Episodes like Mr. Yang, Scary Sherry... all great, tense episodes but the show itself is just so hilarious that it's a great balance.
