He was a She and She was pregnant!

Turns out, The fat spider here was only pregnant. How I missed the mating scene and the delivery. She is back in her 'regular' size and her web-size has gone down drastically. There is only one 'baby' that I see around. It builds a web proportional to its size. and like kids, its very playful and random in the web-building style. Sometimes it ( Read more... )

hmmm... maybe when I have my own babies I would want to blog... like "Foo and I had a tiny baby yesterday night" or like "my baby is huge!".

I actually tried doing a caesarean when I first heard about it when I was a kid. But I tried it on males.

On a biological note, a successful caesarean would have resulted in eggs and not in kutty spiders as spiders are 'o'viparous (the 'o' symbolizes that they lay eggs) :P

Thanks for the 'o' tip! its clever. If I become a teacher some day (which I hope I will :) ) I will use this 'o' mnemonic technique to help kids remember the term. Its just a word, yes, but its needed for our communication... :)
