"Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love and Non-violence" and the charity work seems pretty cool to me. I know I won't be doing any of that stuff in my lifetime :)
Rituality and magic must be for the susceptible and the unquestioning. Like everyone else who market bhakti.
i cant stand him either. usually i dont like gurus, because it limits one's view of things. id rather read many interpretations of philosphy and scripture and gather my own view. its more useful and productive.
doesnt he have sexual relations? he basically preaches the same thing taught in scripture. one does not need miricles to prove God's love, peace, etc. all one needs is faith. thats the whole point.
Yeah, everybody does. He isn't as bad. He ran away first knowing that he does not have the qualities of "keeping up" to the expectations of the "rules" of the religion/mutt. I think I would blame the religion and its "rules" than him. Atleast he didn't molest kids (as far as what the media has to say) like Mr.baba nor did he do "miracles". He was simply a "human" who had humanly feelings and instincts like you and I do. Vengeance, greed, lust and the need to have fun. Thats all okay. The problem is with the people who fall on his feet. I mean, if someone fell on my feet and says they can do "anything" for me and if I were so horny, i would try and use up the "opportunity". Isn't it?

One does not need miracles to prove God. or even... one does not need God.
all one needs is faith. thats the whole point.
all one needs is happiness. thats the whole point of ... oh well.

I'm not too sure. Hinduism has practically no rules compared to christianity or islam. we are not regulated to *one* path and only one. we can chose. Followers of Sanatana Dharma (hinduism in other words) can chose to believe in God or not. They can chose what yoga will help them achieve moksha or happiness. personally i dont like orgaized relgion, but hinduism, unlike christianity is more personal. its between you and Brahman, not some priest or congregation. another aspect of religion i detest is rituals without any meaning. if there is no meaning, the purifying act is voided. all worship comes from the heart.

Isn't it?I agree. It just proves the humaness of sai baba and one cannot put trust in humans at all because they are fallible. though one can put trust in hope. hope is good

but what is Brahman? The universal spirit which joins us all, humans, animals, the world.
I'm sorry. I just can't make any sense out of "the universal spirit" idea. I don't see how a 'spirit' is physically possible. But I really envy all those guys who created religions like Hinduism or Shamanism. They must have had A Beautiful Mind (a la John Nash) that could 'trip' without an external chemical (or in the case of Shamans that used to trip on 'Shrooms'). How I wish my brain was born out of such a rare game of 'chance' (or even how I wish I could get 'Shrooms' ;) ;) ).
