The Nuwaubians took over Eatonton about 15 years ago, but they've recently been forced off the property they had there (for serving alcohol to minors, living in buildings they had put together themselves - big teepees and pyramids, none of which were up to code, and sex with minors). Too bad they never came over and tried to hang out with us at Rock Eagle, eh?

I know! I was like..where was this settlement? I didnt see any settlement..besides Rock Eagle..and a Waffle House. I would be inclined to believe that they built the dining hall at Rock Eagle - and still make food for it..that explains a lot.

I saw it back before it all got torn down. It looked like a fair, with totem poles and pyramids painted in 80s colors. It was such an eyesore.

Also in that article, I loved their etymology for the word "honkie" -

Ah yes..but that fact doesnt matter..all we need to know to have faith in the shit-crazy religion is that cars back then "honked" instead of "beeped"..thats where the word "honkies" came from.
