on your 21st birthday, when they swipe your ID, the little swiper thing says "happy birthday!"

you don't need to get a new one until they expire.

more importantly: where will you be when you turn 21?? please say miami.

LOL, where does this swiper say that, at the DMV? I know I don't need a new one, but I want a real, honest-to-God license. With a better picture.

FUCK YES I WILL BE IN MIAMI. Where will YOU be, Miss Thang?

Yeah, I got a new one a few days after my 21st birthday, because I wanted to get rid of the "UNDER 21" stuff right before I went to Las Vegas. I remember I went in person, but that was to get a new picture, too.

If you go online and browse around the "Renew License" section, it should be there, I would think.

BTW, if you change your license address to your school apartment, it means your voting district changes, too. Which is a good/bad thing, depending on how you feel.

You'd think it'd be under 'renew,' but you'd be wrong. I went all over that site last night and nothing.

Eh, I don't so much care if my voting district changes, just because the main election's already happened, and I can't see myself caring about the little elections in Gville or in Miami, so.

I hate Balzac too.

In Connecticut, I just took the license to the DMV with no appointment or anything, and they made a new one. There was no info on the site because it turned out to be a no-brainer, despite my suspicions to the contrary before I went.

Happy early Birthday, just 'cause I want to be the first to say it. :D

It's not so much that I hate him that I think he's kind of a loon, and he uses really long sentences with really big words.

Yeah, that wouldn't fly here. You need an appointment or you wait for nine thousand years. And also, I think that it might be a no-brainer but the DMV will make it a brainer because they can. Arg.

Thank you! You are indeed the first.

Yay for me being punctual! :D (There might be something coming for you in the mail soon... though probably not in time for your birthday/Christmas now, but we shall see.)

Nooooo, how can you hate Balzac? He's all epic and tragic and...really, Le Colonel Chabert may be my favorite for-class French book ever.

(I realize I'm in a minority over here...)

It's more that I hate him because he uses big words in GINORMOUS sentences and I have a paper due tomorrow by noon based on two of his works. His stories are good! Just, ack, Balzac.
