Are girls and relationships that are fufilling, and make you want to be there more than anything, where the two of you want many of the same things, where you above all pay attention to each other, really that hard to find? Are they found at all or are they created?

Dammitall I want the answers!

I totally hear you on the ability to talk to her part. And the clear and frequent communication. So important! So very important!

Having your own life and then the relationship is also so important.

There are plenty of girls out there. I'm not worried about finding someone. The goal is to continue to enjoy life on my own until such time as I find someone who fits into my life

I think relationships like that can be found, but only if you are a bit naive. If you have done any thinking at all, they have to be created. I think girls like that can only be found, because creating them yourself would either make you their father or Dr Frankenstein. But silliness aside, I think that a healthy relationship needs to be created. Granted, you need the right ingredients (see anselm's post) but the longer I've lived on this world and have relationships on it, the more I've learned that everything needs to be created, worked on, worked on some more, and worked on some more. And that goes beyond relationships. That is true for your job, your house, your overall happiness ( ... )

Exactly. The right ingredients only make the dish possible. You still have to do the prep, actual cooking, eating and enjoyment of the meal, and finally the clean up only to go and do all those steps over again later.

Or Mr or Ms "I'll do my best but I know it's still going to take a lot of work"

So it is with many things in life: The harder you work for them and the harder you are willing to work for them the more rewarding it is to get that which you worked for.
