Happy Birthday (Ryan/Sam/Stephen)

“You sure it’s supposed to look like that?” Sam’s voice is dripping with scepticism and, after a quick glance at the cookbook, Ryan can’t really blame her. The half burned, half raw pastry with too visible lumps is quite obviously a gastronomic nightmare.

“Maybe once we put the cream on top?” Ryan says uncertainly.

“That concoction?” Sam laughs.
