Comfort (Becker/Connor)
Becker’s not sure why he follows Connor after everything fell apart. Or maybe he’s just too much of a coward to admit he does. It’s just a fumbled half-hour involving lots of sobbing and not much else.
The news doesn’t reach them before the morning but in less than an hour Connor is hugging a relieved-confused - and very much alive - Nick Cutter. Becker knows it ends something that hasn’t even started yet, leaving just the memory of falling asleep with an emotionally drained Connor.
And he’s too much of a coward to admit that it doesn’t even really matter anyway.
