Monster
When Beckett looks at Davy Jones he sees a monster. A hollow, revolting shell thrown together out of all manner of sea creatures. A slimy, glistening face ending in the deviant dance of tentacles. Beckett shivers in disgust and pretends he can’t see the trapped emotions behind small, feeling eyes.
When Davy Jones looks at Beckett he sees a monster trapped in the disguise of a small, soft, inviting body. Calculated smiles and seductive whispers covering up the cruelty only a human could be capable of. Davy Jones shivers in fear and pretends that the last crumbs of his human self don’t crumble inside his thick shell in the light of cold, unyielding eyes.
