When I realized Erik was walking away, my first thought was, "What a dick!" Pleeeease tell me you're planning to write more of this 'verse; it's delicious. You've made Erik smoldering hot and dangerous to boot, the kind of person he would likely have been if they hadn't started off with him owing Charles his life and Charles trying so hard to make him a nice person.
