(Thank you, kiathekat! How did you find this--are you even old enough to remember this?)

I've had this nagging at the corners of my memory for years--since senior year of high school, at least. My insane Physics teacher used to make similar sounds when she'd write on the blackboard and I vaguely remembered something being on when I ( Read more... )

Mr. Wizard was also the shit, although the only two segments I remember from that show are him making music by rubbing water glasses, and explaining that we couldn't do that as children because our skin was too soft and we'd have to wait until we got older and our skin dried out, and the one where he was explaining how swallowing worked (...that sounds wrong) and he made a kid stand on his head and eat an apple slice.

I'm glad we ran into each other, even if it was for just a little bit. I'll have to upload my pictures soon!

Okay, you totally took me down a Youtube/Wiki nostalgia trip. I started looking up all sort of stuff I remember watching. I remember Pinwheel and Eureka's Castle (I think this was the precursor to Bear in the Big Blue House). Then I got on found You Can't Do That on Television, Double Dare, David The Gnome and so many others. Which lead me to the NickToons that I used to love and sorely miss.... Ah nostalgia really does that to you. Anyhow, thanks for bringing me back down memory lane!

You Can't Do That On Television was the SHIT. That's one of the first things I tried to download on Napster, I think I was still on dial up! That's how badly I wanted to see it again.

Double Dare was awesome, too. I'm still upset I never got to be on that show. I would totally still do that as a "grown-up" now, too!

David the Gnome! OMG I'm always so amazed when people remember that show, it was SO sweet!

Did you have/know Ms. Scully in CK? She's the one who did this. Thank God I didn't need to take the Regents for this class, she was INSANE, none of us learned anything.
