I grinned at your top five fic list, since I'd thought about adding 'apart from anything by Xanthe' to the original question. =)

I still remember the first time I read Ender's Game. Instant love. (Although I must admit my go-to book is Austen's Persuasion. I'm something of a cliche.)

I think I know which moment you mean and it's one of my favourites as well. My all-time favourite Abby moment, though, is in A Man Walks Into A Bar... when she tells Rachel Cranston that she's not a goth, she's a scientist.

I loved your words about Belfast. You've made me want to go there myself. =)
