Fantastic. I'm so sad about Katy, especially after Jim calls her his sister, but I've chosen not to check up on people I know in war zones for the same reason so I get it...

I almost had Bones do some checking and give Jim an answer but that would have either been a) too hand-wavey or b) too much angst to pile on top of this. Besides, I could never decide, myself, whether Katy is alive - my sister laughs when I say things like that but I honestly don't know if Katy survived.

I'm glad you enjoyed this. I love my bb!Jim stories so much and it always makes me rather giddy when other people say they like them, too. :)

I loved this! It really resonates and has the feel of "growing up" and in this case, George is carried on later in Jim's life, but his relationship and purpose do evolve in a realistic manner.
