moving to melbourne update

so we're back from our big house hunt in Melbourne. We left on Thursday and returned late last night and I declare it to be a most productive 4 days.
It started off with us leaving for the airport at 4am and spending the rest of the day flying, renting a car and attending house inspections in footscray. on google maps this suburb looks tops. from

So big and pretty!!! I LOVE the shower.

Though if you're anything like me in the kitchen (ie. Indian - cook for an army!), you'll probably need to get an island for extra bench space!

i know - thats the first thing i thought of tooooo! thats its only negative - someone who dosen't cook very much made that kitchen (the dishwasher is a miniature too)

I think I'm one of the rare people in this world that would prefer to wash by hand than use a dishwasher. I know. I'm strange.

I agree... it must be by a person who doesn't cook (much). Or at least a person who doesn't know what cooking is all about!!!

Any news from the other places as yet, or will you be going with this one? (double rent - ouch!!!)

we're negotiating something! we REALLY do not want to pay double rent - so we are trying to stretch it. other place said they will get back to us tomorrow and this place is willing to wait till 19th (on another but simliar layout flat...)
jeez i just want it over and done with already!!!
