Yay! More Courtship read-through!

So I guess Han's slowly breaking free of whatever mind control he was under and realising how little sense his actions so far have made?

The Dathomir people don't recognise the deed - who does, exactly? It presumably isn't an Imperial deed, and it's not a Republic deed either, since the system isn't part of New Republic space. Where, exactly, is this deed a legal document?

Leia is also regaining some of her brains, since she apparently arranged the whole real estate/escape deal with Augwynne before Han even got there. Perhaps it is not a coincidence that they've both had at least a week away from anyone holding a functional Gun of Command.

That deed is going to bother me for the rest of the book. Omogg said it's been in her family for ages, right? Maybe it's actually an Old Republic deed, and everyone assumes that the New Republic will recognize most of those whenever possible. Or maybe it's a deed from some entirely different political entity, maybe just her homeworld. Either way, I think they need a lawyer to sort it out.

It's been so long since I looked in here, I had forgotten about this. I'm glad it's still going on, and that everyone in the book seems as stupid as ever. And, more importantly, if things go really badly Threepio can always get a job in Vegas.
