I start December 3, the day after Gareth's birthday. We don't acknowledge the existence of Christmas until he's has his big day. ;)

Well that absolutely makes sense. I kind of feel bad for kids whose birthdays are so close to Christmas. Kaylee's birthday is January 11th, and I have to try very hard to not have it be an after-thought, what with all of the holiday hooplah preceding.

It's definitely not easy to make it special with everything else going on. So far, he thinks December is the best month ever because he gets presents twice!
