I really want to use this experience in one of my screenplays, but I fear that people will find the character too "unrealistic."

Sigh, I'm both amused and mildly horrified. That lady is so... direct. She seems like she wants the best for you, except that there's only one way to True Happiness, and tact is never going to be in the way of her helping you achieve that ;)
