When I grow up, I want to be NOTHING AT ALL!

There's nothing quite like getting to see your favorite band play at the precise moment it tops your list of obsessions. The last time I had the opportunity to do this was New Year's Eve 1998, when I saw Jars of Clay in Greensboro, North Carolina. I still remember trying to fall asleep on the floor of my friend's living room later that night, with ( Read more... )

Ditto ditto ditto. When Gerard said, "Thanks for a great five years, see you for two more!" at the end, I briefly panicked because I thought he meant that was IT for the band, until I realized he was just referring to the next tour. But YES -- you are such a great concert buddy!

If you want to see the rest of the photos, I uploaded them to Google's latest feature in their plan to conquer the world: Picasa Web Albums. My captions are lame because I was too tired to be witty (excuse!).

Ooo, Gerard is quite nice to look at. :-)

My sister loves MCR, but I've never really listened to them myself.

ISN'T HE??? Justin Hartley ain't bad, either. I actually knew about him from Passions (which is the only soapopera I've ever watched). I finally saw last week's episode yesterday. That scene in the beginning where he grabs Lois and holds her thisclose before making his escape as the Green Arrow -- HOT. Too bad I hate Lois 10,000 times more than I ever hated Lana.

But I will make another MCR post sometime where I'll recommend some songs.

Coming from cadette's link, and wow, I'm glad I did. Those are some GREAT pictures. Those last two in particular, though all of them are very nice. Definitely worth the memory card-ful of devil horns!

Thanks! I'm really surprised at how well they turned out. I think these shots were all taken with me standing on my toes, holding my camera as high as I could. In that way, capturing these really seemed magical. I have no idea, for example, how I was able to get Frank and Mikey on the left side of the stage when I was all the way on the other side.

If you want to look at the rest of the roll (minus most of the devil horns, which I deleted for space), I uploaded them here.

Gerard looks like Jared Leto. Or how Jared Leto wishes he could look if he were a real rock star and not a gout-stricken former teen idol.

Haha, I've seen 30 Seconds to Mars and Jared Leto's frontman persona really reminded me of Gerard's, even in the cadence of the way he addressed the crowd from the stage. I wouldn't be surprised if he is taking a page from all the "real" rock stars.

Hmm. I never thought they actually physically resembled each other, though, except in styling. Maybe in the delicate bone structure, although I always thought Leto's eyes, though very pretty, were oddly close-set (blasphemy!).
