"This is, dear lady, perhaps the only place where one can acquire a drink without the stigma of being 'that old man with the brown paper bag'," Xavier explained, "and besides, I've become used to visiting and keeping an eye on the young and foolish over the years."
Having spent Valentine's Day in a haze of alcohol, anger, and the blood of numerous demons, Terell had managed to finish his trip West, and finally made it to Sunnydale. Had he known the type of club The Bronze was, he probably would have stayed home: he had no problem with kids, but being 'the old guy in the club' was never high on his list of priorities. So imagine his relief when he saw two others closer to his age sitting across the way. Still... he wasn't sure if they were friends or a couple trying to have a date, so he wasn't about to just waltz on over and introduce himself. Instead, he waited until he could catch Rachel's eye, and gave a friendly smile and a small wave.
Rachel nodded politely to the man who smiled in her direction, and raised her glass in salute.
"Good evening - are you joining the alcoholic oldsters club today? Membership benefits include a drink of your choice to drown your sorrows in, and a full view of the follies of youth..."

She sighed. "It seems like we have more and more students disappearing from the role call every month."

She indicated the dance floor with a wave.

"Sounds like the kind of club for me... as for the follies of youth, I will go to my grave refusing to believe we ever acted like that."
He looked at the two, and offered a tiny shrug. "Mind if I join you? Or is this a private party?"
