Angel had been stalking the streets, patrolling as usual. It was the noise that caught his attention first - the loud slam followed by the squealing of tires. He broke into a run. When he reached the scene, he was met with the sight of a girl in her car on her way to being attacked by some thing. He would have thought it an animal, maybe a bear, except for the way it was tearing into the car. What kind of natural animal could do that? Maybe... a demon of sorts?
Instead of stopping at the unexpected sight, he barreled forward, seizing the creature and attempting to yank it backward and toss it away from the car.
The 'bear' roared loudly and whirled around towards Angel. Whereas some bears were easily annoyed by stinging insects, having the living dead tugging on its fur seemed to do it for this thing. It promptly issued the pseudoursine equivalent of a bitchslap. Whatever it was, it certainly was stronger and faster than the average bear.
Katie, meanwhile, was trying to hastily get out of her seat belt and get the hell out of there. "I haven't even finished paying for this yet," she muttered, fumbling with the buckle.
The thing hit hard, and Angel stumbled back as the heavy swipe caught him roughly in the face. Oh, now he was irritated. When his head snapped back to look at the creature, his face had shifted, fangs bared.
"You like it rough, huh?" he said before lunging at it again, this time trying to back-fist the thing's face.
