Oz wandered the familiar halls of Sunnydale High, a couple books under his arm for appearances sake, even though he didn't think he had the classes that the books corresponded to until the afternoon.
Everything seemed pretty much the same as several months ago, same lockers, same books, same people, same... her. There she was. The red head who just seemed to fascinate him. Today she milling at her locker removing and replacing her books every few minutes.
She was, for once, by herself, which made for a confidence booster, as it was hard enough to try to chat with someone that pretty without the overprotective friend brigade. Seizing the opportunity he walked up to her.
"So is there something chi centering about taking your books out more than once in the morning?" he asked her as she shut her locker and leaned against it. "Because my chi's been pretty wild lately, and I can use all the tips I can get."
"Huh?" Was the first thing Willow could say before her face went slightly red and she became a bit flustered. Oz was talking her her. Had Buffy said anything? Probably not, as let's face it, if she had Oz would probably have moved to Siberia by now. She loved Buffy, but she was in no way subtle.
"No, I errrr..." Willow was becoming flustered. She took a deep breath, and decided to be honest. "I was sort of waiting for someone, for Xander. I was trying to look useful and busy and stuff, but I guess I failed." She smiled a little.
"Oh no, it was working," Oz said. He hoped she was waiting for Xander as friend-Xander. Last Oz knew, he and Buffy were an item, but a lot of things could change when you disappear for a few months. "You looked extremely busy. I almost felt bad interrupting all your busy."
"It was?" She asked, taking his comment as a compliment. "I'll remember that for next time I need to look busy. It could be a useful skill." This was nice. Talking to Oz and not being a complete freak with the getting words out.
"Don't feel bad for interrupting me, cos well, not really busy. Plus I think Xander's a no show. I'll just have to save my sermon for another time." She said, frowning a little. Even though it was nice talking to Oz, she was still worried about what Xander was up to.
