Alan was, at the moment, talking to a disheveled-looking fellow with his arm in a cast, and looked up when he saw Val. "Hey, Valentine! Over here!"

Valentine headed over, worried. "Are you okay, Alan? Were you in a car accident?"

He glanced towards the unfamiliar man, wondering if he was Alan's friend. "Hey..."
