Spike was, indeed, sitting at the bar, working his way through a bottle of Jameson's. You knew things were getting bad when Spike broke out the Irish whiskey. If he noticed Tamara entering the bar, he made no reaction.

"Hey William," Tamara said quietly, walking over to him and putting a hand on his shoulder. "Mind if I join you for a couple of drinks?"

She sat down on the stool next to his.

"Free country, innit?" Spike asked. He lit a cigarette and still didn't look at Tamara.

"More or less," Tamara said. She gestured to the bartender and collected an extra shotglass to share the whiskey.

"I heard what happened. I'm sorry, William. I came to see if there was anything I could do to help."
