"Hello, Laili." When Wesley got in, he could tell from the look on Laili's face that something was wrong. "Is everything ok? Did something bad happen?"

"You tell me," Laili said, folding her arms.

"Who is this woman you've been seeing, Wesley?"

He looked at her, bewildered. "I haven't been seeing any woman, Laili. I wouldn't do anything like that." Not only did he love her too much for anything like that to happen, but he was also conscious of the fact that Laili could break him in half if he did anything like that. He wasn't afraid of her, but just knowledgeable of the situation.

Laili glared. "You don't have to lie on top of it. My friend saw you at the Espresso pump yesterday. So you might as well admit it."
