Do other people go through the angst of "what if nobody comes to my party"?
Oh yes. I was so lucky, this last time, to have chosen "pizza" as the food (no pre-party prep) and to have named a "deciding time" beyond which guests who hadn't RSVPd or shown up weren't guaranteed any pizza. That took all the stress off me. Gotta use it again!
Yes, absolutely. And one time I actually did give a party where no one showed up at all. Mostly my own fault; I was competing with another very popular Halloween party given by someone else in the same group, and guessed wrong about people being willing to split the evening.
These days I don't sweat it; I don't plan anything fancy, and people come or don't come as they choose. My annual Chocolate Decadence party ranges in attendance from 4-5 to over 20, depending on who's not busy that evening.
