i would say to go where you will be happier because you will succeed more and not feel like u have wasted the best years of your life being miserable. There is nothing wrong with santa cruz at all. but just one thing. I know you love adam and i say this with all respect. dont base your college decision solely on where he is. you need to be happy with where you are. you know? well hopefully i helped? hahaha. love and miss you darlin.
livejournal surfing while theres nothing else to do is wonderful.
i'd say, stay where you'd feel you'd receive the best education. i mean, thats what matters in the long run. personally don't go to a college based on a guy, ever. my cousin did that, ended up at ucsc and sometimes wishes she went elsewhere. to be honest, it is also depended upon your character and the atmosphere you prefer. i know many who have gone to ucsc and ended up transferring out because, a. not academically challenged, b. the people, c. the atmosphere as a whole.
your decision, obviously the decisions others have made for you haven't pleased you, ie: ucdavis. i say, think about it, make this decision your decision. its your future, no one else's.
im going insane trying to figure out wut i really want and what my priorities r and what'll really make me happy.
as for ucsc not being academically challenging enough, i think u could make it as challenging as u want depending on what courses u take or how many
also, ive been there a couple of times so i know the atmosphere and some people and its nice, its much more liberal and laid back than davis (u can feel the republicans that live in town haha)
its still a hard decision though cuz davis doesnt seem that bad and i almost feel like the reason y i dont like it is my own fault and my own personality flaws of not being friendlier or something, but a lot of people dont like it here so i dunno....
