I know, I know, I keep going AWOL. But I've got a good reason this time.

So two mondays ago (July 11th) my grandmother was air-lifted to the Emergency Room because of severe, severe heatstroke. For some reason she decided to mow the lawn (all three acres of it...) at 2 in the afternoon in 99 degree weather. Papaw found her laid out on the ground by ( Read more... )

Come to think of it, we do all get sick in really dramatic ways. There might just be something genetic there. O__o

I wasn't either. I don't know if part of it had to do with her internal temperature climbing so high, or if it was just the sun. We don't know how long she was out there; Papaw was taking a nap before he went to check on her, and doesn't know how long he was asleep.

One way or another, she has been forbidden from ever mowing the lawn again.
