Sorry to hear about people who don't quite get it. I hope the people around you learn that you are you and that is OK, and you find more and more people to be yourself around.
It's so weird, isn't it. Now that I'm back from my 'women's studies' conference, and my sister has left ther eis no-one in real life that I can even tell I went there, never mind talk about what was actually a very important experience.

No the girl I'm sharing with is my friend's friend. She seems nice and open minded, but I haven't mentioned it yet! My friend is bi so I trust she wouldn't hang around with someone who is prejudiced.
It's an unfortunate situation with which I can totally sympathise. I'm not out to my parents or work colleagues. That's why I keep my facebook and LJ separate. Hence when a colleague asks, "Good holiday?" I can only chuckle at my Bicon memories and beam a "Yes, great, thank you
