Earthquake!

I had never felt any seismic activity in my lifetime until today. There was a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in Lebanon, New Jersey at 10:19am. It was felt in New York City, northern New Jersey, and Philadelphia. The house here shook for thirty seconds. Well, there's another thing I can check off the bucket list, feeling seismic activity!

Happy it was just a shakedown and not worse! I felt nothing here, but people who came to the library claimed to have. I’ve only felt two shocks here in RI: one around 1968, and one a couple of years ago.

Safety is always paramount. It was an unnerving experience to be honest. It felt like the foundation of the house was going to collapse into a huge sinkhole in the ground. I could never live in California for that reason alone, earthquakes. It was first reported that the epicenter was in Lebanon, NJ, but now it's being reported as Tewksbury (seven miles from Lebanon), both towns are about fifty miles west of here.

I watched Imaginary last night, I love that colorful turning night light!

Oh yes, the nightlight was beautiful! The trippy scenes ‘on the other side’ were pretty cool as well. What I didn’t like was how they represented the bear (those teeth!).
