Sakura shot the man sitting before her the most venomous glare she could muster. He, being the childishly idiotic moron (in her opinion) that he is, sat there huffing, arms crossed before his chest, glaring at her with equal force.
“Why,” she bit out, ready for another round of arguing, “Can’t you just stop being a child, and admit that you have yet to be right once, and that I’m right, again?”
He uncrossed one arm, bringing it up to move his blonde bangs. “Because you’re not, yeah!”
“Because I’m not?” she repeated, rolling her bright emerald orbs at him, ignoring the sweat that was causing her clothes to cling to her skin. “Is that the best you have? Because really, Deidara. I expected more from you. Something like what you said last time. What was it?” she brought her left hand to her face, stroking her chin, pretending to be deep in thought. “Oh, that’s right! Let me quote you. Your brain can’t be functioning right, pinky. Salmon-chan has given you too much salmon, yeah! Now all that’s there is salmon!”
“Hey - that’s not fair!” he cried, uncrossing him arms. “I was drunk!”
“Yeah, yeah,” she replied, rolling her eyes at him once more. “And whose fault is it that we’re stuck here, in the middle of Kami knows where, on one of the hottest days of the year, lost?”
He said nothing to that, and she knew better than to take that as a sign of defeat, but dragged herself to her feet regardless. “So really, you can’t expect us to take your route, because we’ll only end up more lost.”
Surprisingly, he got to his feet as well - albeit a bit grudgingly, muttering curses under his breath. “Fine. But only because I want to get out of this ridiculous heat, yeah.”
Sakura beamed at him, clutching his toned arm with her small hand.
“Shall we?”
