+ The last episode of Emma was UTTERLY ADORABLE AND OMG I'M IN LOVE WITH IT ALL ♥__♥.  It was infinitely better than the film, but then again I do not care for that version much anyway *g*.  I feel a rewatch is looming nearer all the time.  HEM.

Can't bear to look at gifs any longer? Here, have moar! )

Emma isn't my favourite Austen book (and I haven't liked the movies all that much either), but with all the squeeing about this series that is happening on my f-list, I think I'm going to have to see it. The GIFs and pics all look so adorable!

You've seen the Kate Beckinsale version then as well? I've only watched the Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeremy Northam adaptation and, as I said, never cared much for it either. But this mini has completely turned my opinion round; the leads were lovely, as well as the supporting cast ♥, the production value was great (it was filmed in HD!) and everything looked extremely beautiful; so yeah, you will probably come to love it too :D :D :D

I have a feeling you might have already answered this question, but... is that Mr Knightley, and is the guy who plays him from Trainspotting? OMG.

Anyway, I've downloaded the first episode of Emma, shall watch it this weekend!

That's Mr Knightley all right, and yeah it's the same guy from Trainspotting hahaha. He was also Edmund Bertram once, in the Mansfield Park film from 1999.

YAY! Pray tell your first impressions afterwards :D.

I ... have not reached that far in my reading YET *ducks from disapproving stares* I'll tell all about it once I've finished it. I have to say, despite her flaws, I thought this Emma had more empathy about her, she gave the impression of feeling lonelier than in the film for instance. And I approve greatly of said portrayal. Oh Persuasion, how I love thee also.

By the bye, I watched A Room with a View the other week, as per your suggestion, and I fear I'm missing something. I shall procure the book soon enough.

Oh! I had totally forgotten about that one. Must watch it! MOAR PERIOD DRAMA!

Those Spooks promo pics made me so ridiculously excited. Everyone looks SO pretty! Why does one week seem so long away?

I'm kinda getting worried about who, if anyone, they're gonna kill this year. I like the team as it is now!!!

INORITE. It is less than a week now! Celebrate!

My greatest fear is also their Killing of Characters as a surprise element. IT IS NOT SURPRISING, IT IS JUST V. DEPRESSING. I have read now the synopsis for eps 1-3 and apparently no one dies in that interim, thankfully. Which at the same time is not very comforting, as you know how Spooks goes.
