Season four spoilers ahead. Basically if you've seen the trailer, you're good. And if you haven't seen the trailer yet and you call yourself a DW fan, I'll have to disown you. :P And a bit of cursing. Sorry.

I love and hate spoilers all at the same time )

I'm trying to be blase about Rose's return, because the last time I got too close to a favorite character tptb shot her in the head and then made her an object of ridicule in her goodbye episodes. .:pout:.

Have you heard the spoilers that apparently came from an interview with BP?

I won't say nuffin' 'til you've read it.

BTW, did you hear about the "NCIS" finale? Is it bad of me that the sympathy-inducing twist they gave to the dying character still had no effect on me whatsoever?

Yeah, I'm still a little sore about that too......the other day a network was running a NCIS marathon and I happened to switch it on. The first thing I heard was Kate's voice and I immeidately went "Aww...". She still gets me.....

I have read that interview! *sigh* I usually take everything with a grain of salt, but I mean...this is coming from Ms. Piper herself. I know that she's probably taken Advanced "How to make things sound out of context" but still...

I did hear about the finale, my best friend still watches the show. But what sympathy-inducing twist did they try to add in? I heard she was dying anyway, but that's it...I had a little aw, poor DFF moment, but then it was gone. :P

Yeah, they made her terminally ill. I think it was supposed to induce sympathy in the viewer.

Normally that sort of stuff does get my sympathy, but I had gotten into a lot of interesting reading when the movie "Space Cowboys" (yes, odd choice) came out - a terminally ill character sacrifices his life for the sake of others since he's dying anyhow. Not that it diminishes HIS sacrifice, but there was a lot of discussion of whether or not this demeans the terminally ill - that the minute they discover this, their lives are automatically worth less than a healthy person's because they will die soon anyhow. I don't know how the dff died, but that twist set up a bunch of alarms for me. If tptb did that with the dff I'd be annoyed again, for her sake.

I do hope that there is more context for BP's comments. It's unbelievable what can be said without it. But at the same time, all of what BP said seems to be in line within the realm of speculation for the character and with pictures, so. But not too long to wait!

I get a sneaky suspicion that the "yeah" is from a different scene.

Oh, that would break my heart. If that little smile wasn't for Rose returning?

*sighs* Now I'm going to watch it obsessively to see if they're slicing and dicing things. Thanks Emsta. :P
