And as for S4 - I am trying to keep my hopes up (see icon). I recommend friending/visiting Rae's LJ (rabid1st) - she makes the best case for why things can and should turn out good for our couple. Whenever I get down or just plain terrified over the likelihood of having my heart ripped out again, I go visit her page.
If I were to believe the latest spoiler/rumor - I think it could still end on a hopeful note as in: 10 leaves a certain group of folks and is seen entering the TARDIS alone. Hmmm. It works well if he's leaving that world to go to wherever Rose is to go get her. Then bring on those specials!
I'll definitely go read Rae's lj, because honestly, I need something to keep my hopes up. :) I hope it ends on a good note. It would be amazing if Billie signed up for any of the specials.....*sighs* A fangirl can hope, yeah? :P
I just thought I'd share my sense of impending doom.
Oh, but it's just impossible to turn away, isn't it? :-)
I agree - I want a Rose who will stay behind for a mature reason. There's no evidence BP has been signed on for seasons after this, so it's not like she'd return to permanent companionship again.
Maybe it's not so much that Rose has moved on, but maybe her meeting with the Doctor will do it. In "Doomsday" her choice to stay with the Doctor was taken away from her and decided in a different way without her say. While she no doubt loves her parents and Mickey, her choice was the Doctor. Perhaps this time, if she (in your scenario) is the one who chooses, she will be able to move on.
I must admit I'm a sucker for AU FF in which Rose gets a second chance. I've seen them with parallel world doctors, but my favorite have been with a John Smith (human) and a split-Doctor.
Ok, so your icon makes me go "Awwww!" every time I see it. Every time. :P
Yeah, I just want it to be Rose's decision to leave. But I don't want it to be for a dumb reason either. I don't think that Rose would just be like "Oh yeah, nice seeing you again Doc, but I've gotta go, bye! *flash of light*". I want her to leave on her own, for a good reason. Like....defending Pete's World. Or her and the Doctor's child is still on Pete's World (cuz oh my goodness, how angsty/amazing would that be? :P).
I'm a sucker for anything that has Rose getting a happy ending basically. :P So AU's are always a good thing. Though I did once find a story where Rose was working with an AU!Human!Nine who turned out to be gay and was dating AU!Human!Ten. Fairly hilarious. :P Oh, is the split Doctor story "Wolf Moon"? Cuz if so, I think that one is so amazing! :D

And since you're not reading spoilers, do you want me to change my banner or anything? Or not use any icons? I don't want to spoil you. :)
