Oh dear, this is bad. I've just watched the first episode of Iris and realized that I really like the hero and it usually takes me a while to warm up the drama let alone the characters. I love Lee Byung-Hun's character- so cute and energetic and innocent. That's why when it all goes to hell in a handbasket, I'll be in a corner whimpering.

He is - he is so adorable and so well-adjusted. It just kinda kills me the way he drama dismantles him piece by piece - by the end, not even an insane amount of therapy can probably truly fix him :(

That's his tragedy, isn't it? He's still a good guy essentially, but in his world its not enough. In his world, he was always going to be someone's toy. The real horror is that he never really gets a true second chance at happiness before fate steps in and says "Ok, times up." Just- no words. He's like a Crichton but without the hope of a happy ending.

Oh boy, you got through the first episode? I don't know why but I disliked the show within about 10 minutes. Does it get better or is that the standard quality? D:

I have a high threshold when it comes to ridiculous concepts and plots- if there is a hot guy in a suit waving a gun around I am a happy fangirl. That said, the show is cute and does have its funny moments but I can see how it can be grating for others. But Oguri Shun is awesome as an uptight, socially impaired cop and the girl is the standard jdrama heroine but still cute. Watch it for the lolz but don't expect any high drama.

I just might have too. One thing the directors and all that did right is pick out some very haute actors. Lol. Oguri himself is hard to resist... Mix him with Hiro? Lord. Lol. Fangirl all the way.
